What We're Doing: Green Breakroom Products
Did you know that there are disposable coffee cups for breakroom use that are made from corn?
As part of our green initiatives, we have taken steps to transition kitchen and breakroom products at our corporate offices to those that were produced in an environmentally friendly way and will break down and compost easily.
Previously, Apollo Group’s Hohokam Towers (corporate office buildings) and Online buildings used approximately 23,500 styrofoam cups (12 oz. and 20 oz.) every month. As part of the Green Challenge, we hope to reduce the amount of waste we produce in our breakrooms, while also ensuring that the waste we produce has a minimal impact on the environment.
